Multiplex Assay Overview:
The assay service provided by Eve Technologies on their Mouse Metabolic 11-Plex facilitates research on Metabolic disorders, diabetes, obesity, and cardiovascular disease. This Discovery Assay® measures eleven metabolic biomarkers simultaneously in a single microwell: Amylin (active), C-Peptide 2, GIP, GLP-1, Ghrelin, Glucagon, Insulin, Leptin, PP, PYY, Resistin. Other samples can be tested, however we recommend a pilot run.
Metabolic syndrome is a cluster of conditions that occur together, including increased blood pressure, elevated insulin levels, excess body fat around the waist, and abnormal cholesterol levels. Key features of metabolic syndrome include insulin resistance, glucose intolerance, hypertension, dyslipidemia, and central obesity—all of which are risk factors for atherosclerosis, coronary heart disease, type 2 diabetes, kidney disease, and even premature death. Mouse serum or plasma (EDTA recommended), cell cultures, tissue homogenates and others. Due to a wide range of sample conditions, a pilot run is recommended for cell cultures, tissue homogenates, and other sample types not listed.
Special Sample Preparation:
For serum and plasma samples, the measurement of certain targets requires the addition of inhibitors at the time of collection. They are as follows:
