Description
This assay uses the Luminex® 200™ platform.
Consider this assay for a detailed analysis of 12 key metabolic hormones in mouse and rat samples. The Mouse/Rat Metabolic Hormone Discovery Assay® Array (MRDMET12) includes critical biomarkers such as GLP-1, Ghrelin, Amylin, and Insulin, providing insights into various aspects of metabolic and endocrine function.
This panel is especially useful for studying metabolic disorders, endocrine dysfunctions, and obesity research. For instance, GLP-1 and Ghrelin are important in glucose metabolism and appetite regulation, while Leptin and Resistin play roles in energy balance and insulin resistance.
With its comprehensive coverage, this assay enables precise analysis from small sample volumes. Special preparation is required for serum/plasma samples to ensure accurate measurements of specific hormones. For more information on sample preparation and shipping, please consult our sample preparation guidelines.
*Special preparation instructions for Serum/Plasma samples: at time of collection immediately add DPPIV inhibitor (for GLP-1 measurement), Protease inhibitor cocktail (for Amylin measurement), Aprotinin (for Glucagon measurement) and Serine protease inhibitor (for active ghrelin measurement). See our Sample Preparation Guide for more information.
NOTE: This assay replaces the Mouse/Rat Metabolic Hormone 11-Plex Discovery Assay®
